5 Reasons to Live in Brookline

In 2018, a neighborhood analysis by Niche ranked Brookline the #1 suburb in America to live in. The town is adjacent to Boston and has access to all of the amenities of a city but still holds that "small town" vibe close to the vest,

1. Highly-Ranked Public Schools. The town of Brookline just pulled in a top-20 rank in Boston.com's new ranking of public schools. The school system has been well-regarded for many years now and will solid student:teacher ratios and high per pupil spending, that probably won't change any time soon.

2. Proximity to the City. The Eastern edge of Brookline borders Fenway, Kenmore, and Brighton meaning walking into Boston is a very easy task for may residents. If you're further out, though--have no fear--multiple Green Line MBTA stations speckle the town to make getting in and out of the city even easier.

3. Great Restaurants. Between Washington Square and Coolidge Corner, Brookline is making a name for itself as a foodie's town. Both of these neighborhoods host a number of well-respected eateries, and more hot spots are setting their sights on Brookline every year.

4. Local Shops. Besides boutique restaurants, Brookline plays host to tons of local shops and theaters. Brookline Booksmith is a much-adored bookstore in Coolidge Corner, where you can also find the local Coolidge Corner Theater which hosts indie picks.

5. Larz Anderson Park. This park is vast and offers tons of green space for kids to run around. For more structured activity, you can check out the Auto Museum, or go ice skating in the winter.
